Celebrating 21 Years of Community Impact: $210,000 Grants Program

We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the Community Bank Lindfield & District’s 21st Birthday Grants Program! Together with Ku-ring-gai Financial Services Limited, we have committed to investing $210,645 into our community to support 18 incredible projects that will make a significant difference in the Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby areas.

This milestone marks not only 21 years of service but also demonstrates the profound impact that community banking can have. Grant Recipients

Below are the groups that will be receiving funding and the inspiring projects we are proud to support:

 Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Transport

  • Purpose: Purchase of a vehicle to provide transport for aged and disabled residents.
  • Impact: Enhanced mobility and independence for community members in need.

St John’s Ambulance Australia (NSW)

  • Purpose: Installation of 10 publicly accessible defibrillators (PADs) in high-traffic, high-risk areas.
  • Impact: Improved public safety and lifesaving capabilities.

NORTH Foundation

  • Purpose: Funding for the Prevent Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth (PARTY) program.
  • Impact: Education for youth in the Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby communities aged 16-18 on reducing alcohol-related and risk-related trauma.

Challenge North Shore Limited

  • Purpose: Provision of workstations for skilled employment opportunities for people of all abilities.
  • Impact: Enhanced quality of life through meaningful employment.

Epilepsy Action Australia

  • Purpose: IT upgrades, including three new laptops to support local epilepsy services.
  • Impact: Better resources for nurses assisting community members with epilepsy.

Friends of Ku-ring-gai Environment

  • Purpose: Brochures promoting the Ku-ring-gai GeoRegion.
  • Impact: Increased awareness of local environmental initiatives.

Hornsby Woodworking Men’s Shed

  • Purpose: Soundproofing for the dust extractor.
  • Impact: Improved workshop safety and environment.

Killara West Rugby Union Football Club

  • Purpose: A defibrillator and first aid equipment for the Over-35s team.
  • Impact: Enhanced player safety.

KNA All Abilities Netball Program

  • Purpose: New netballs and assistance with costs.
  • Impact: Increased accessibility for participants with disabilities.

KYDS Youth Development Service

  • Purpose: Reducing wait times for mental health support for youth.
  • Impact: Timely and essential mental health services.

Marine Rescue NSW

  • Purpose: New equipment for the Cottage Point operation.
  • Impact: Enhanced safety and efficiency for marine rescues.

Men’s Kitchen, Ku-ring-gai

  • Purpose: Funding towards operational costs to allow broad participation.
  • Impact: Support for men’s community engagement, mental health and well-being.

Ripple Learning Ltd

  • Purpose: Mental Health First Aid courses for staff and volunteers.
  • Impact: Building mental health resilience within community organisations.

Streetwork

  • Purpose: Change Your Course early intervention/prevention program.
  • Impact: Support for at-risk youth impacted by crime.

The Dish of St John’s

  • Purpose: Funding towards an assistant to support meal provision.
  • Impact: An increased number of meal services provided for those in need in our community.

1st Lindfield Scouts

  • Purpose: Construction of a carport for their trailer.
  • Impact: Improved storage and provision of an undercover area for Scouts or other community group activities

Trish Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation

  • Purpose: Contribution to multiple sclerosis research.
  • Impact: Advancements in MS treatment and understanding.

The Eryldene Trust

  • Purpose: New signage for the historic site.
  • Impact: Enhanced visitor experience and preservation efforts.
