Our Story

Welcome to Community Bank Lindfield, a franchise of Bendigo Bank, proudly operated by Ku-ring-gai Financial Services Limited (KFSL).

KFSL is run by a small group of dedicated volunteer board members, who along with our shareholders and staff, have a shared vision to empower our local community.

Banking is our business and community is our passion.

Born out of the Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank concept in the late 1990s, our journey began when major banks started withdrawing services from communities like ours. Recognising the opportunity to bring essential banking services back to our community, a group of local Ku-ring-gai visionaries took the lead. In 2003, Ku-ring-gai Financial Services Limited opened its doors, marking the inception of the Turramurra Community Bank Branch.

The community’s needs continued to grow, prompting KFSL to expand services and establish a second branch in Lindfield in 2011. This marked the beginning of Turramurra and Lindfield Community Bank Branches, further solidifying our commitment to providing comprehensive banking services with a community-centred approach.

In 2023 as the result of the changing nature of banking with less foot traffic coming into our two branches, the decision was made to close the Turramurra branch and to operate out of a single location.
As a Community Bank, not only do we offer full banking services, but we are focused on returning the majority of our profits back to our community
